For a limited time Carol has opened the Winemaker's Library to offer her 2004 Monga Zinfandel. We opened up a bottle recently and it still has AMAZING fruit! Over a decade in the bottle and this wine is still brimming with flavors of dried Black Mission Figs, orange peel and a fresh baked cherry pie, with a softened tannin structure and an exquisite balance.
Winemaker Notes:
Original Notes, September 1, 2006: Ripe red berry-wild cherry fruit, vanilla-caramel oak,
Fragrant Asian spices—Chinese 5-spice, white pepper and saffron.
Very smooth and nicely structured, long creamy finish.
