Meet our Zins!
The "Monga Zin", gleaned
from vines planted in 1918 in the Jose Lopez Vineyard in
Cucamonga Valley, is full of juicy red fruit and Asian spices,
with a touch of brown sugar and caramel-chocolate oak.
From Cox Vineyard north of Ukiah, the "Wild Thing"
is a "hands-off" wine, made from older organic vines
using no added yeast inoculation, to craft a wine of rich
body and powerful fruit.
"Karma Zin" hails from 100-yr-old
vines on Wood Road in Russian River Valley--it is a complexly
layered "field blend" of Zinfandel with Alicante
Bouschet, Petite Sirah, and Carignane, bursting with inky
berry jam flavors.
The "Rocky Reserve" from the Rockpile Ridge
Vineyard in Rockpile/Dry Creek Valley, though drawn from vines
young in age, shows inky color, the most black pepper varietal
fruit and classically elegant structure for aging. |
